Hin Bus Depot's market calendar is no longer just a weekend affair. The venue's events page lists the Hin Friday Market on every Friday in November 2026: the 6th, 13th, 20th and 27th, running from 12pm to 7pm on the Deck & Lawn. The depot's own homepage also lists Friday market hours of 12pm to 7pm alongside the usual Saturday and Sunday markets.
The afternoon timing is the interesting part. It suits anyone who works in or near George Town and wants a lunch-hour or after-work wander, and it gives weekend-shy shoppers a quieter alternative to the busier Saturday crowds. Expect the kind of mix Hin Bus Depot is known for: independent makers, small food and drink stalls, crafts and pre-loved finds, though the vendor line-up changes week to week and has not been published here.
The market is run under its own name, with an Instagram account linked from the venue's events page; that is the best place to see who is selling each Friday. Hin Bus Depot's general space is open daily and free to enter, but the events page does not state an admission policy for the Friday market itself, so we have left that as to be confirmed.
Tips: the Deck & Lawn is partly open-air, so the late-afternoon slot after the midday heat is often the most comfortable. Bring cash and an e-wallet, and combine your visit with the exhibitions in the depot's galleries or the cafes along Jalan Gurdwara and Jalan Anson. If you prefer the classic weekend version, Hin Market still runs every Saturday and Sunday from 10am to 5pm.
