Parents choosing a preschool or kindergarten for 2027 have a one-stop option this month. The Early Childhood Education Expo (ECEE) has announced a Penang edition on Sunday 29 November 2026 at JEN Penang Georgetown, following its Kuala Lumpur show at Pavilion Bukit Jalil in October.
ECEE is an exhibition for the early years: the organiser describes exhibitors from preschools, kindergartens, enrichment centres and suppliers of learning materials, with education talks, performances, competitions and panel discussions alongside the booths. The series also highlights special needs education. For parents, it is a chance to compare several centres, curricula and fees under one roof, rather than visiting each one separately on weekends.
So far the organiser's website confirms only the date and the venue for Penang. Opening hours, visitor admission and the programme of talks had not been published when we checked, so we have marked them as to be confirmed. There is a general pre-registration form on the ECEE site; it does not say which edition it is for, so check with the organiser if you want to be sure.
Who it's for: parents of toddlers and children up to about six years old, grandparents helping with the decision, and early-childhood teachers. Tips: list your must-haves (location, language, hours, budget) before you go, ask each centre about teacher-to-child ratios and trial classes, and collect brochures to compare at home. JEN Penang is on Magazine Road beside KOMTAR.
