Job hunting in Penang's tech sector? Talentbank is running its Penang Tech, Engineering & Semicon (TES) Career Fair on Saturday 21 November 2026 from 10am to 4pm in the Pinang Ballroom at JEN Penang Georgetown. According to the organiser's page, entry is complimentary, and you sign up through the form on the same page.
The fair is aimed squarely at the industries that drive Penang's economy: electronics and semiconductor manufacturing, engineering and technology. The sign-up form covers a wide range of people, from university students and fresh graduates to working adults with more than five years of experience, school leavers and persons with disabilities. That makes it useful whether you are after an internship, a first job or a move to a bigger company in Bayan Lepas or Batu Kawan.
The organiser shows a wall of company logos, including several well-known multinationals, followed by "and more", but it has not published a confirmed exhibitor list for this date, so check the page closer to the day. There is also a lucky draw for gadgets, with terms and conditions.
Talentbank says it has run more than 300 career fairs since it was set up in 2010. Tips: register online beforehand to save time at the door, bring several printed copies of your CV as well as a digital version, and dress smart-casual. Research the companies you most want to meet and go to their booths first, before queues build up around lunchtime. JEN Penang is on Magazine Road next to KOMTAR, so public transport is an easy option.
