Thread & Harbour is the group exhibition taking over the Hin Bus Depot Gallery for the year-end season. The venue's events page lists it from Friday 20 November to Sunday 27 December 2026, with viewing hours of 12pm to 7pm on weekdays and 10am to 7pm on Saturdays and Sundays.
It follows Hoo Fan Chon's solo show, How Long Have You Been Here, which closes on 15 November. Hin Bus Depot, the old Hin Company bus depot turned contemporary art space, typically uses its main gallery for a rotating programme of solo and group shows by Malaysian and regional artists.
At the time of writing the venue had not yet published the list of participating artists, a curatorial statement or admission details, so we have marked those as to be confirmed. We will update this page once the line-up is announced.
Who it's for: anyone interested in contemporary Malaysian art, and visitors looking for an indoor, air-conditioned stop during the rainy season or the December school holidays. Tips: combine a gallery visit with one of the weekend markets on the Deck, and check Hin Bus Depot's website or social media for an opening night or artist talk, which galleries often hold during the first week.
