Penang Fashion Week (槟城时尚周) returns for its second edition from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 November 2026, and this year it crosses the bridge. According to Penang Global Tourism's official events calendar, the shows run from 5pm to 10pm each day at Design Village Outlet Mall in Batu Kawan, the first time the event has been held on the mainland.
The organiser, Velvet Signature, a Penang model and events agency, describes the programme as a mix of local and international designers, with looks ranging from traditional Malaysian attire to contemporary designer collections. There is also a platform for emerging designers and fashion students to show their work, get some industry exposure and network with established names.

Who it's for: fashion students and young designers, anyone into local labels and Malaysian traditional wear, and mainland families who fancy a stylish evening out at the outlet mall. Tips: the evening timing means you can shop the outlets in the afternoon and stay on for the shows; arrive early for a good spot near the runway; and remember Design Village is open until 10pm daily, with plenty of free parking compared with island malls.
