The Makers Market is the next themed market on the Hin Bus Depot calendar. The venue's events page lists it on Saturday 21 November 2026, from 10am to 5pm on the Deck & Lawn, with free entry.
As the name suggests, this is a market for people who make things. Expect independent Penang makers and small brands selling handmade accessories, illustration and prints, ceramics, candles, skincare, clothing and home-made snacks, the sort of products you would not find on a mall shelf. Many stallholders are happy to chat about how their pieces are made, which is half the fun.
The organiser has not posted a stall list for this edition yet, so check The Makers Market's Instagram page in the days before for previews. The same page is where makers can ask about taking a table.
Who it's for: shoppers looking for early Christmas and year-end gifts, families wanting an easy Saturday outing, and visitors who want something a little more local than the usual souvenir shops. Tips: November is still rainy season in Penang, so bring an umbrella and keep an eye on the weather. Go before lunch when it is cooler, bring cash plus an e-wallet as payment options vary, and leave time to look around the galleries and street art at the depot.
