TLM Event, the Penang organiser behind several food expos and festive runs, is staging a Christmas-themed fun run in George Town on Sunday 20 December 2026. Runners gather on King Street (Lebuh King) in the heritage core, with flag-off at 7am, so the route should take in the old town streets before the traffic and the heat build up.
Entry fees range from RM38 to RM140 on the Howei registration page. The text does not break down what each tier includes; the T-shirt, medal and lucky-draw details are shown only as images on the page, so check them before you choose a package. Slots are described as limited, and no closing date is given.
The distance is not consistent on the page either: the event details say 4.5km while the description calls it a 5km run. Either way it is a short, social run rather than a race, which suits families, office groups and anyone who wants to dress up for the season. Expect plenty of Santa hats.
Tips: George Town parking fills quickly even on Sunday mornings, so consider the Komtar or Lebuh Light area car parks and walk over, or take a Grab. Afterwards, the Little India and Beach Street breakfast spots are only a few minutes' walk from King Street.
