Trans JKT With Love 100 Penang is a long-distance trail challenge for experienced hikers, organised by Kacang Wildbound Ventures. It flags off at 6pm on New Year's Eve, Thursday 31 December 2026, from Taman Eko Rimba Teluk Bahang, so participants will see in 2027 somewhere on Penang's forest trails.

The single category is 100km. The organiser describes it as a hike rather than a race: participants move in groups by pace, are timed through checkpoints, and are expected to take roughly 30 to 45 hours, depending on pace and conditions. The page also mentions a 48-hour figure without explaining it, so treat that as a likely overall cut-off and confirm with the organiser. Because of the length, we list the event as running from 31 December to 2 January.

The RM100 base fee covers a guide, crew and sweeper, the forestry department (HSK) permit, insurance, and a certificate for finishers. Optional add-ons are a meal bundle of breakfast, lunch and dinner (RM25), an event T-shirt (RM25) and a medal (RM25). Registration closes on 12 December 2026, and kit collection is on the day itself, from 2pm to 5pm at the start point.

This is self-reliant hiking. There are no water stations, though some checkpoints have water sources marked on the schedule, and you need a watch or phone that can follow a GPX file (or a buddy with one). If you stop at any checkpoint other than the designated DNF point, getting home is at your own cost. Only sign up if you are comfortable with night hiking and very long days on the trail.
